The Vacce Art is an Iberian event organized by the University of Valladolide, Spain. It aims to inform about the pre-Roman culture in the Iberian Peninsula, more specifically along the banks of the Douro River. Until 21 October, the event expands to Oporto, at the House-Museum Guerra Junqueiro. Jewelery, ceramics and other pieces show up on the fusion of the contemporary world and the memory of the people who inhabited the Iberian Peninsula and the traces that were left along the mystic Douro River. The House-Museum Guerra Junqueiro is located at D. Hugo Street, 32, in the Sé neighborhood. That eighteenth-century building was acquired by the daughter’s poet in the first half of the twentieth century to install there her father’s collections. Then she donated it to the Oporto City Hall that recreated the environments of the house where the poet lived, along with the art collections which were also donated to the municipality. Between 1994 and 1997 were executed refurbishment and expansion of the facilities. In the new spaces, we highlight two temporary exhibition halls, two showrooms for permanent collections of jewelery, stocks, technical offices, conference room, gift shop and cafeteria. There, you can sample homemade cakes, but also enjoy light meals at lunch and brunch on weekends. The daily menu always includes vegetarian and vegan options (10:00 to 18:00). Exposure Time: Monday to Saturday from 10:00 to 17:30. By Sunday: 10:00h to 12:30h /14:00 to 17:30.
