The 1st, the 2nd and the 3rd of September Porto will be the host of the best sports aviation pilots during the sixth stage of the 2017 Red Bull Air Race World Championship.
On Friday the 1st of September, the City Park will be transformed into the Red Bull Air Race airport in order to the fans of the competition have the opportunity to meet the pilots, their teams, and the planes that will be sailing over the weekend. On Saturday the 2nd, will take placer the Qualifications. Sunday the 3rd will be the turn of the other rounds of this competition.
After the editions of 2007, 2008 and 2009, Porto will receive again 23 pilots from two different classes: Master Class and Challenger Class. The schedule of the competition can be found on the Red Bull Air Race website.
On Saturday the event will start at 10 a.m. and the Qualifications of the two categories will take place between 3:20 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. The “door close” at this day will be at 7 p.m. The start time on Sunday will be at 11:15 a.m., a bit later. The final of the Challenge Class will take place between 12 and 12:30 p.m. On another hand, the final of Master Class has been schedule between 3:30 and 3:55 p.m. The end of this incredible event is has been programmed by 7 p.m.
